Tapered Roller Bearings

When designing tapered roller bearings, the extension lines of the raceway surfaces of the inner and outer rings and the conical vertices of the rollers intersect at a point on the center line of the bearing. Therefore, the resultant force of the inner and outer ring raceways facing the roller's load causes the roller end faces to press against the inner ring's large rib, and the inner ring's large rib guides the roller while rolling. When bearing pure radial load, axial load will be derived, so two sets of bearings must be used in pairs. The outer ring and the inner ring with the roller and cage assembly can be separated, and the installation is simple and convenient in the state of clearance or pretension, but the management of the working clearance is more difficult and requires attention. It can bear large radial and axial loads at the same time.
