The line connecting the contact points of the ball and the inner and outer rings forms an angle (contact angle) with the radial plane. Bearings are usually designed with three contact angles. It can bear axial load. Due to the contact angle, it cannot be applied in a single set, but can only be applied in pairs or in combination.
